About MeI have great pleasure in introducing myself, Jaya Gurung, a freelance trekking guide in Nepal. I became involved in trekking in 1998, when I was a porter for two years. I then completed a guides trekking course through the Minister of Tourism in 2000 and followed this up with high altitude mountain sickness training. Since completing my trekking course I have gained a vast amount of experience with trekking companies. I am fluent in English and I also speak a little French. This experience has allowed me to become familiar with various different Nepalese trekking environments, particularly, Annapurna, Everest, Langtang, Helambu, Kanchenjunga, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Upper Mustang, Upper and Lower Dolpo.
