Arun River Rafting

The major rivers are: – The Sapta Kosi in the eastern Nepal, the Narayani in the central Nepal, the Karnali in the western Nepal and the Mahakali in the remote western Nepal. The Arun River rafting belongs to the Koshi river system that flows in the Eastern Nepal. The easiest way to get to the river is by flying to Tumlingtar. Alternatively it is a drive for one and a half days and then trek for three days. Besides being the only Hindu country in the world with all to myths and mysterious character, Nepal has more than one hundred different languages belonging to various cultural groups. You can meet some of these different ethnic groups during the period of rafting. Great rapids and the remote location, make this the best river in Nepal to run the fantastic white water, which is all a part of the adventure. We have high quality equipment such as a self bailing raft, American Cup life jackets, white water helmets, Carlisle paddles, advance rescue kayaks, 100 percent water proof barrels, dry bags, first aid kit, two person tent, dry jacket, sleeping bags, mattress and professional raft guide. If we make camp then there will be professional staff such as cooks and helpers (well trained on emergency, medical, technical and river safety).
Food: We are always conscious of serving hygienic meals and sterilized drinking water on the trips. Our chefs are knowledgeable in Nepalese and international cuisines. The vegetables are iodine treated. We provide tin packed and fresh food.
The Guide: All our guides are skilled outdoors men, superb chefs and great companions. Our guides are trained at international standards and have spent several years rowing for leading raft companies.

Day 1: Fly to Tumlingtar for 45 minutes or 19 hrs drive to Basantapur by bus.
Day 2: Arrival at Hille Bazaar, after lunch a short trek and overnight camping.
Day 3: Full day trekking and overnight camping.
Day 4: Full day trekking and camping on the bank of Arun River near Tumlingtar.
Day 5: Rafting and camping on the beach at Andherighat.
Day 6: Rafting and camping on the river bank at Barachhetra.
Day 7: Rafting to Chatara, lunch and then drive to Dharan, continue by night bus back to Kathmandu.
- During rafting full board of meals such as (lunch, dinner and breakfast with tea or coffee).
- Raft guides, cooks and helpers.
- Accommodation in tents or lodges.
- Return transportation from Kathmandu, Pokhara or Chitwan.
