In a country like Nepal, a river trip is one of the best ways to explore a typical cross section of the country’s natural as well as ethno-cultural heritage. The river is regarded as a form of goddess and is used for the purpose of various religious rituals such as cremation under both Hinduism and Buddhism. The Bhote Koshi River:
It is about a 3 hours drive from Kathmandu either by bus or private vehicles to reach the Bhote Koshi River. It is an exciting and tough river and is best for two days rafting.
The Sun Koshi River:
The "River of Gold" is considered to be one of the ten best rafting/kayaking rivers in the world. From Raighat (On Day 5) it is only one day's trek to view Mount Everest, so an optional detour is possible.
The Kali Gandaki River:
A total of 105 km covered in 3 days with excellent white water, and magnificent mountain views of the Annapurna South and Fishtail Peak (Machhapuchre) including deep gorges where you will experience intense rapids and wilderness.
The Seti River:

The Karnali River:
The Karnali River is in the far west of Nepal and it is the largest and the longest of Nepal’s rivers. A two days trek is required from Surkhet to reach the starting point of rafting. This river is one of the world's most famous rapids passing through wilderness and is uninterrupted by humans. Your previous rafting experience and physical fitness will help you as an extra bonus to make it easier.
The Marshyangdi River:
With 52 km. of boiling foam sandwiched between towering peaks, Marshyangdi flows through the gorges of Annapurna. Besisahar is the starting point and the ending point is Bimalnagar on the Prithivi Highway.
What should you bring?
Please bring yourself a set of cloths which are loose and comfortable for your rafting such as T- shirt, half pants, sandals, sun glass, hat, sun screen, towels, set of dry clothes, torch, sun lotion, and medicine etc. These things are basically used at the campsites after the rafting. Insect repellents are also advised.
