Manakamana is a holy site of Hindu Pilgrimage. Pilgrims of different places including India come in the thousands to visit and pay homage to goddess Manakamana. It is believed by the locals that she fulfills our wishes if we pray her by heart. So she is called “Manakamana” which means “wish of heart”.

There is only one cable car service in Nepal is Manakamana Cable Car. We can reach the temple of Manakamana by this car. Manakamana Temple is just away three hours from Kathmandu by drive. This is a holy place where hundreds of goats and chickens are sacrificed every day. The cars go straight up to the hilltop and comedown wonderfully giving a great experience.

Manakamana is one of the most famous and popular pilgrimages sites in Nepal situated on a hillock near Gokarna. The temple of Manakamana is dedicated to the goddess Kali and Hindus believe that the Kali blesses and grants the pilgrims wishes. The temple of Goddesses Manakamana lies 125 km to the west of Kathmandu. A cable car has recently connected with Kurintar on the Kathmandu Pokhara Highway. A trip to Manakarman can be from Kathmandu or Pokhara.

Chandragiri Hills Cable Car Tour
Chandragiri hill is positioned at about seven kilometers away from thankot on the southwest of the Kathmandu valley and lies at an altitude of 2540 m above sea level. It is a new destination for day trip inside the Valley. High altitude Peaks and breathtaking view of the whole Kathmandu valley covered by green flora makes Chandragiri a perfect landscape. The continuous view of Himalayan ranges from Annapurna to Everest gives the feel of observing the whole Nepal.

At a distance of 16 kms from Kathmandu, Thankot can be reached within half an hour by traveling on a local transporting medium. On reaching tThankot, Chandragiri can be reached via Cable car, driving or trekking. Tickets for Cable car are available at Godam Chaur near Thankot. The cable car route is around 2.5 km and it takes around 9 to 14 minutes depending on the wind speed on the cable car. It is easy, thrilling and fun-filled experience.
