Trip Overview

Most of the summits lie in the heart of Sherpa World. We follow the classic Everest approach through Namche Bazaar. We will enter the magnificent Gokyo valleys, a land of high altitude lakes and icy glaciers. after crossing Chhukuma La at 6183m. (except going to Gokyo valley and Chhukuma La Pass we proceed towards Everest base camp as well) we go towards the Khumbu glacier en route to Everest base camp 17,575 ft and you can enjoy a spectacular view from Kala Patthar at 18,192 ft (5,545 m.). Our route descends to Dignboche and goes to Chhukung valley and Island (Imja Tse) Base camp.

We attempt the summit 20,305 ft after one night at the high camp perched on the South West Ridge. Magnificent vistas of the Khumbu can be seen. On the way of it while descending to base came, you can take the picture of Chhukung valleys’ landscape. Island Peak is very easy and common so most of visitor from the world are willing to go there. We can see vistas of the Himalayas including Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu Mt. Lhote (over 8,000m) and many other mountains. The journey comes to end at Lukla airstrip. Then, we fly back to Kathmandu .

Detail Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu International Airport, transfer to hotel.

You will meet our representative at the airport. Then, you will be transported to the hotel.

Day 02 : Stay in Kathmandu for official procedure, overnight at hotel.

You can go around Kathmandu valley visiting historical and religious sites including Durbar Square, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03 : Fly to Lukla and explore surrounding, overnight at lodge.

We take a flight from Kathmandu early in the morning to Lukla (2827 m.). The flight can take about 10 minutes. After arriving in Lukla, later in the afternoon, we stroll by moving down to the Dudh Kosi River and take the key path to Namche Bazaar, located just over Chaunrikharka (2713m.). Overnight in Lodge.

Day 04 : Trek to Phakding (2610meters), overnight at lodge.

The path is safe and along the way we come across the tiny village of Ghat (2550m.). We will descend to the Dudh Koshi River, where we reach the major route to Namche Bazaar. After passing the small community of Ghat (2550m.), we reach Phakding. Overnight at guest house.

Day 05 :Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m), Overnight at lodge.

We set off from Phakding and walk further up to Jorsale. Now, the trail is amidst superb forest of giant firs, rhododendron and magnolia trees. Then, we walk to Namche crossing few bridges and climbing a few hundred meters all the way through the forest. Overnight at lodge in Namche bazaar.

Day 06 : Rest in Namche Bazaar for acclimatization, Overnight at lodge.

We will have a rest day to become acclimatized to an elevated height in Namche Bazar. On top of the village is theĀ  national park headquarters where one can view both the spell blinding sunrise and sunset. The amazing panorama includes excellent scenery of the Khumbu peaks and impressive views of Everest. After breakfast, we can either go for a hike towards Thami (3810m.) over the eye-catching Bhote Khola River Valley or go to the national park headquarters or you can hike to Syanboche. Overnight at lodge.

Day 07 : Trek to Tengboche (3887meters), overnight at lodge.

After breakfast, we get back on the trail and move down to the river, Dudh Koshi. We keep on ascending through Rhododendron and Conifer forests up to Tengboche. The Tengboche Monastery is located on a ridge at an elevation of (3860m.) and is bounded by mountains like- Kangtenga, Thamserku and Ama Dablam. We trek for 3-4 hours. Overnight stay in Tengboche.

Day 08 : Trek to Dingboche (4410meters), overnight at lodge.

We slide down through the forest of birch, juniper, fir and rhododendron to the nunnery at Debouche. On the way, after crossing the Imja River, the path reaches to the village of Pangboche. Here, we can have our lunch while seeing the attractive peak of Ama Dablam. In the daytime, our route moves through an open alpine hilly area before we again cross the Imja Khola and then to the settlement of Dingboche. Overnight at lodge.

Day 09 : Trek to Chhukung (4730 m), overnight at lodge.

From Dingboche we move to Chhukung. It is located beneath a huge rock wall that joins Nuptse with Lhotse. From here, you will also see incredible views of Amadablam (6856 m).

Day 10 : Climb Chhukung Ri (5550meters) and back to Chhukung, overnight at lodge.

We ascend to Chhukung Ri, a rock-strewn peak over the community of Chhukung in the Khumbu region. It takes around 3-4 hours to reach the summit from Chhukung. The peak bestows wonderful views of Imja Tse, Ama Dablam, Makalu and Nuptse. Then, we return to Chhukung. Overnight at lodge.

Day 11 : Trek to Island Peak Base Camp (4970 m), overnight at tented camp.

We will start ascending early to arrive at the summit and our route now gets difficult once we arrive at the foot of the pointed ice fall below the peak. Caution has to be taken while ascending the wall to reach on the edge which leads to the summit. After getting to the summit, you will move down to the Island Peak Base Camp.

Day 12 : Stay at Base Camp, overnight at tented camp

We has set aside a day at the base camp to not mess up our schedule because of bad day weather. Overnight again at tented camp.

Day 13 : Ascent High Camp of Island Peak, overnight at tented camp.

Ascending from the base camp we will reach to the Island Peak High Camp (5600m.). From this point, we can see view of cliffs that go up in the north to the rocky peaks of Nuptse (7,879m.), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410m.), Lhotse (8,501m.) and Lhotse Shar (8,383m.). To the east, we will view the iced up waves of the Lhotse Shar Glacier above which towers Cho Polu (6,734m.) and we will also witness Makalu (8,475m.). From the south of the Imja glacier, we will be rewarded by Baruntse (7,720m.) and Ama Dablam (6,856m.). Overnight at tented camp.

Day 14 : Summit Island Peak (6160 m) and back to base camp, overnight at lodge.

Early in the morning, we begin our climb to arrive at the summit. Our trail will get complicated once we reach the bed of the pointed ice fall beneath the peak. In order to succeed, great caution must be implemented while balancing the barrier to approach out on the rim leading to the summit. Then, we head back to the base camp.

Day 15 : Trek to Pangboche (3,901 m.), overnight at guesthouse

From base camp, we move to Pangboche . On the way, we traverse the Khumbu Khola over a wooden suspension bridge and walk beside the Imja Khola to the village of Pangboche. We trek for 5 to 6 hours. Overnight at guest house.

Day 16 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m), overnight at lodge

From Pangboche, we go across the river and then make our way up through birch and rhododendron forest to Tengboche. From Tengboche, we move down to the bridge above the Dudhkoshi at Phunki Tenga and then we return to Namche. Overnight at lodge in Namche.

Day 17 : Trek to Phakding, overnight at Lodge.

Day 18 :Trek to Lukla, overnight at lodge

From Phakding, we follow the Dudh Koshi and arrive at Lukla. It takes around 6 hours. Stay at lodge.

Day 19: Fly back to Kathmandu, overnight at hotel

Wake up early in the morning to take the flight for returning to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu, you are transferred back to our hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu at the hotel.

Day 20 : Leisure day in Kathmandu, overnight at hotel

Rest day to relax or shopping in Kathmandu or sightseeing. Overnight at hotel.

Day 21 : Transfer to airport, departure to your destination

Our representative will transfer you to the airport from the hotel for your departure.
