Mandawa is a town in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan in India. It is part of Shekhawati region. Mandawa is situated 190 km off Jaipur in the north. The town lies between latitude 28°.06’ in the north and longitude 75°.20’ in the east. Mandawa is known for its fort and :havelis”. The fort town of Mandawa is well connected with the other places in region through a good network of roads.
Ways to get around:
Rail- Jhunjhunu is the nearest convenient railhead and one can take trains for Sikar, Jaipur, and Delhi from Jhunjhunu.
Roads- Road networks crisscross the entire region of Shekhawati, and Mandawa is well connected with other places in the region by private as well as government buses. It is a good idea for groups of four or five persons to hire taxis to move around the place.
Airport- The nearest charter airport is Jhunjhunu, the largest city in the region and the district headquarters. Jaipur is the nearest airport for regular flights. Many domestic airlines operate out of Jaipur and connect it with other cities in the country.
Day 1- Arrival at Delhi
To be welcomed and assisted at arrival at Delhi International airport. Transfer to hotel and overnight.
Day 2- Delhi tour
Afternoon visit to some of the most unique symbols of Indian culture and history including Gandhi’s memorial, India gate, Parliament house, President’s house and the Lotus temple. Overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 3- Agra tour
Starting for Agra in the morning. Check in at hotel Holiday Inn, rest for a few hours and then visit the Taj Mahal, the epitome of true love. In the evening you can explore the place on your own. Overnight stay at Agra.
Day 4- Travel to Jaipur
Set off for Jaipur, the Pink City of Rajasthan, in the morning. An en route visit to Fatehpur Sikri and the Buland Darwaja (One of the largest gates in India) is arranged. Check in at hotel in Jaipur and rest. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Jaipur.
Day 5- Jaipur tour
Full day sight seeing at Jaipur, including the famous Amber fort, where you can have an elephant ride. Post lunch you visit the City Palace museum and Hawa Mahal (Wind palace). Later experience a rickshaw ride through the bustling markets of Jaipur. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Jaipur.
Day 6- Travel to Pushkar
Reach Pushkar in the morning. Upon arrival at Pushkar, check in into our arranged accommodation. In the afternoon you are at leisure to enjoy the colorful Pushkar fair. Overnight stay.
Day 7- Pushkar tour
After breakfast, spend the whole day at the Pushkar fair. Spend the day walking through the traditional decorated fair ground and view various activities, like folk dances, camel trading, races and much more. Overnight stay at Pushkar.
Day 8- Pushkar-Delhi
You are at leisure in the morning. In the afternoon set off to Ajmer to catch a train to New Delhi. Late evening arrival in Delhi followed by transfer to hotel and overnight.
Day 9 – Delhi-Departure
Day at leisure followed by transfer to the airport in the evening for flight back home.
