Trip Overview

We accommodate such trips as the Shivapuri Trek. This trek takes 2 to 4 days to complete. The trek provides you with pleasant views of the central and eastern mountain ranges and is a good introduction to Nepalese rural life. It is an ideal trip for those who don’t want a long strenuous trek or only have time for a short trek. The view points at Nagarkot offers an enjoyable experience that has many different options to enjoy the magic of mountains. The village of Nagarkot is on the edge of the valley and offers excellent views of the mountains as well as Kathmandu valley.

Shivapuri Trek offers superb views from Kakani is the one of the best nice view point to see panoramic mountain from Manaslau to XisaPangma including Ganesh Himal and Langtang. On the one side of the trekking route trekkers will see the great view of Kathmandu and mostly you do walk on the other side of the valley where green forest, river valley, White Mountain, small villages and agricultural field warmly welcome you!

 

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 
Transfer to Hotel and  overnight at hotel.

Day 02 Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Sight seeing around Kathmandu to Durbar square, Pashupatinath, Soyambhunath and Boudhanath.
Day 03 Kathmandu – Shivapuri
Drive to Buddhanilkantha and check in the park. Pass the nun monastery and continue up hill and get in the pine jungle. Camp at meadow near by Bagdour, which is the source of Bagmati River.
Day 04 Shivapuri – Chisapani Dhap
Trek from Shivapuri Lekh (2523m.) to Dhap via Chisapani which takes about five hours.  The mountains greet you from northern side (left side) and you hike slowly to gain height. The summit of the hill welcomes you with a fascinating sight. From here through a forest and flat trail leads you to Chisapani. The route you follow is quite smooth and you can observe the numerous green hills and villages at some distance. Dhap is an uncultivated field surrounded by beautiful forests. You camp for the night.
Day 05 Chisapani Dhap-Nagarkot
We walk through a forest to the popular hill town of Nagarkot, from where spectacular views of Gaurishankar and Mt. Everest are to be had.
Day 06 Nagarkot- Kathamandu
Early morning view of sunrise and walk down hill to Chanagunarayan, situated at the end of along ridge which runs well into the valley. The temple is richly decorated with sculptures and carvings. Drive to Kathmandu for Overnight.
